Whenever we talk about the IPL a lot of buzz is around for the batting. Batting in IPL has raised the bar for quality of batting in international cricket as well. Today we will have look on top 5 highest partnership for any wicket in IPL history.
1) AB De Villiers - Virat Kohli ( 229 runs for second wicket vs GL)

A day still afresh in memory of many IPL fans. It was match 44 of 2016 season in M Chinnaswamy stadium of RCB. Winning the toss Gujarat Lions opted to field first and dismissed Chris Gayle at a cheap score of 6 runs. The onus of rescuing RCB was on Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers, both were in red hot form that season. AB started the assault first and completed his century in just 43 balls. Virat was doing the anchors job for most part of the innings untill the 19th over where he scored 30 runs of Shivil Kaushik. Virat reached his century next over by hitting a six off Praveen Kumar.AB De Villiers remained not out on 129*(52) and Virat Kohli scored 109(55).RCB putted a mammoth total of 248 runs and eventually won the match by 144 runs.
2) AB De Villiers - Virat Kohli ( 215* runs for second wicket vs MI)
Another AB-Virat partnership now back to the match 46 of 2015 season in Wankhede stadium. RCB won the toss and elected to bat first on a warm afternoon. But Mumbai got an early breakthrough in the form of Chris Gayle. Then Virat Kohli was accompanied by AB De Villiers. They both stitched on an unbeaten 215 run partnership for the second wicket destroying the Mumbai bowling. AB scored his first IPL hundred for RCB remaining not out at 133*(59) and Virat Kohli too scored a blistering half century 82*(50). RCB putted up a mammoth 235/1 and eventually were successful in defending the score.
3)Adam Gilchrist - Shaun Marsh( 206 runs vs RCB at Dharamshalla)

Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh back in match 47 of 2011 season in Dharamshala launched a double headed assault on RCB bowling lineup.Gilchrist scored a blistering 106(55) studded with 8 fours and 9 hammering sixes and Shaun Marsh too scored an unbeaten 79*(49) providing a good partnership with Gilchrist. King XI scored a humongous total of 232 and successfully defending the total.
4) Chris Gayle - Virat Kohli ( 204* runs for second wicket vs DD)
The Feroz Shah Kotla stadium witnessed a Gaylestorm when RCB was batting first and scored a big score of 215.Chris Gayle showcased his hard hitting abilities while Virat Kohli anchored the innings with sheer class. Gayle went on to score a brilliant 128*(62) while Virat scored 73*(53). RCB bowlers didn't let the Delhi batsmen to chase the total by picking wickets at regular intervals. RCB won the match by 21 runs.
5) David Warner- Naman Ojha (189* runs vs DC 2012)

David Warner and Naman Ojha were brilliant during the 189 run stand against Deccan Chargers chasing 188. Virender Sehwag got out after hitting a boundary on his first ball and then got out to Shikhar Dhawan by giving a catch to Cameron White. Naman Ojha came into bat at number 3 to accompany Warner. David Warner was at his destructive best hitting 109*(54) Naman Ojha remained calm and played a supporting role by scoring 64*(46). DD chased the target scoring 193/1 in 16.4 overs.
